Disks/Pools views do not work if remote system in a multinode setup is not available

    XMLWordPrintable

    Details

      Description

      If the remote host in a multinode setup is not up, then the Disks/Pools view in the WebUI does not show anything. The REST-API call results the following:

      Pool Proxy List
      GET /openattic/api/pools
      HTTP 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR
      Content-Type: application/json
      Vary: Accept
      Allow: GET, POST, HEAD, OPTIONS

      {
          "detail": "HTTPConnectionPool(host='192.168.10.122', port=80): Max retries exceeded with url: /openattic/api/pools/4 (Caused by <class 'socket.error'>: [Errno 113] No route to host)"
      }

      Such a situation should be handled in some way, e.g. by showing as much information as possible with a hint that the remote system is down (via hint in theĀ 'Status' column).
